You haven’t blinked in a while
Screens make us stare. TouchGrass is a break reminder for macOS that gives your eyes a moment to relax and refocus, before the strain sets in.
Look away
Rest your eyes on something far away
It waits for a good moment
Camera on, film playing, or deep in something — it holds the break and comes back when you're actually free.
Short rests, at your rhythm
A brief look-away through the day, a longer break now and then, and a nudge to blink when you've been staring. All on timings you set.
Nothing to manage
No streaks, no accounts, not even a permission prompt. It looks after your eyes from the menu bar.
Look up, touch grass.
Install from Terminal — either line puts the latest version in Applications. The app updates itself after that.
Prefer a plain download? Grab the zip — macOS will warn that it can't verify the app (it's independently built, not notarized by Apple). Allow it under System Settings → Privacy & Security → "Open Anyway".
